Ending Team Plan: Canceling Subscription and Leaving Team

Learn how to stop using Team Plan or leave your team.

If you want to stop your Team Plan recurring subscription, follow the same process as canceling an Individual Plan subscription.

  1. Log in to Tiro website or desktop app

  2. Go to Settings > Manage Plan

  3. Click Payment Management button

  4. Select Cancel Subscription and confirm

What You Can Continue Using:

  • All Team Plan features remain available until the end of your current billing cycle

  • Your existing team structure and data remain intact

After Billing Cycle Ends:

  • You cannot create new notes

  • You can still view and edit existing notes

Note: Canceling your subscription does not delete the team. You can resubscribe at any time.

You can leave a team directly if you want to subscribe to an Individual Plan or simply exit the team.

  1. Go to Settings > Team Management

  2. Click Leave Team button

  3. Confirm to complete withdrawal

Q: I don't see the Leave Team button

A: The Leave Team button is not visible if the team has an active subscription. If you're a team member, ask the team administrator to remove you from the team. If you're the team administrator, please contact Customer Support.

What You Can Continue Using:

  • View and edit all notes you created personally

  • Switch to Individual Plan (subscribe to any plan you prefer)

What You Cannot Access:

  • Team folders

  • Team templates

  • Shared Word Memory

  • Notes created within the team (they remain with the team)

Note: Even after leaving the team, notes you created personally remain intact. However, notes created in team folders stay with the team and become inaccessible to you.

If the Team Plan subscription is active, you cannot leave the team on your own.

  • For team members: Ask the team administrator to remove you from the team

  • For team admins: Choose one of the following:

    • Wait until the Team Plan subscription expires, then leave

    • Contact Customer Support: If you need to leave as administrator while keeping the subscription active or request early subscription termination

Will notes created by team members be deleted if we cancel Team Plan?

No, notes created by each team member remain in their personal accounts after leaving Team Plan. However, notes that were shared within the team will no longer be shared with other team members and will only be visible in each person's own account.

What happens when we cancel Team Plan?

When Team Plan ends:

  • Each team member's personal notes are preserved

  • Notes shared within the team are no longer shared and appear only in each person's account

  • The team admin is automatically converted to Individual Pro Plan, while other team members' plans expire. (Note: Team members can continue using Tiro if they have remaining time in their 1-month individual free trial)

  • Each team member can individually subscribe to a paid plan if desired

I want to switch from Team Plan to Individual Plan

You must first cancel Team Plan. Go to Settings > Manage Subscription > Cancel Team Plan.

After cancellation, you'll be automatically converted to Individual Pro Plan, or you can choose your preferred Individual Plan.

Other team members' plans expire and can individually subscribe to paid plans if desired.
