The speaker separation feature is currently available for audio file uploads in the Tiro PC version (Windows/Mac desktop apps, web browser). In real-time recording, speakers are only separated by paragraph, and the feature to recognize the same speaker across multiple paragraphs will be available soon.Speaker separation was released as part of the Pro feature and is available on the Starter and Business plans. (You can also experience Pro features during the free trial.)
You can turn the speaker separation option on or off in the Profile > Settings > My Settings menu in the PC version. When you upload an audio file, speakers will be recognized, and automatic speaker tags (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.) will be added in the Script tab.In the Script tab, you can click on the speaker tags to change them to your desired names. You can also manually separate speakers by pressing the Enter key.
To change the automatically assigned speaker tags (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.) to the names of the conversation participants, follow these steps:
Click on the auto-tagged section (Speaker A, Speaker B, etc.).
Type the name you wish to assign.
Choose the new name or select an existing name from the attendee list.
Select the range of sections to apply (this section only/this section onward/all sections).
Notes created in the mobile app will also support speaker separation and speaker tags when viewed in the PC version. However, the ability to edit or separate speakers directly on the mobile app is not yet available but will be supported in a future update.
