Tiro’s ability to download audio files depends on the environment you’re using. Please refer to the details below.
The web version does not support audio file downloads.
Audio downloads are supported in the desktop app.However, you must enable the setting before recording:
Settings → My Settings → “Save original audio file” (ON)
Only recordings made after this option is turned on can be downloaded.Recordings created before enabling the setting cannot be downloaded because the audio file was not saved.
If a download (⬇) button appears in the top-right corner of the note, the file can be downloaded.
You can download audio on mobile using either method:
Method 1: Long-press the note on the main screen → “Download Audio”
Method 2: Open the note → tap the … menu (top-right) → “Share Audio” → download
For security reasons, Tiro stores audio recordings locally on the device, not on the server. Therefore:
You can only download the audio on the device where the recording was made.(Example: A recording made on a mobile device cannot be downloaded from the desktop app.)
If you delete the Tiro app from the device, any stored recordings may also be deleted.
