Make your first note in five minutes

1

Start with Google, Microsoft, SSO, or email at tiro.ooo. Apple is also available in the iPhone and iPad app. See Sign up for Tiro for each method. Signing up grants 100 free trial minutes right away; complete onboarding tasks within 3 weeks to increase the allowance to 300 minutes. No payment method is required.
2

Start your first recording

On the note list screen, click [Start realtime recording] to create a new note and begin recording right away. Before you start, jot down the topic and any proper nouns in the [Context] field to sharpen transcription accuracy. For details, see Live Recording.Right after you sign up, a prompt helps you start your first recording. Press [Start your first note] to create one and begin recording. If your browser or app asks for microphone access, allow it. The running timer and pause control on the note screen show that recording is active. If recording does not start, check microphone access and press [Start recording]. To close only the prompt, click the close icon in the top-right corner.
3

While you record

Tiro transcribes in real time and summarizes paragraph by paragraph. Open the original text with [View script] to fix anything misheard on the spot, and add proper nouns from the conversation as they come up with the [Context] button.
4

When you finish

If you need to step away, press [Pause recording], then [Resume recording] when you’re ready. When the conversation is over, press [End note].
Once you press [End note], you can’t continue recording in that note. If the conversation isn’t over, use [Pause recording] instead.
A one-page document (a structured summary by topic) and a transcript (the full original text) are created automatically. If you need a meeting-minutes or interview format, apply a template with the [Generate Document] button. For details, see Basic Note.
