What is an account?
Your account is the email you log in with, plus the profile attached to it. With one account you can create or join several workspaces. Billing, people, and notes are independent per workspace, but your profile, personal word list, and personal templates follow you into every workspace.Account-level vs workspace-level
A note belongs to the workspace where you recorded it, and one account can run a different plan in each workspace.
Edit your account info
Open settings from the profile icon at the top of the sidebar and go to [Profile].- Basic info: Edit your name, job title, bio, company name, and company description. Tiro uses what you enter as context to record more precisely.
- Change password: Shown only when you log in with email. A new password must be at least 8 characters.
- Display language: Change the language you see in the app from the [Preferences] menu. See Change your display language for the steps.
- Login email: This address can’t be changed. To sign in with a different address, add it as a login method instead. See account merging in the account FAQ. Your notes and subscription stay as they are.
Change your display language
Change the language you see in the app under [Settings] → [Preferences], in the [Language] section. Pick English, Japanese, or Korean from the dropdown, and the screen switches to that language right away. It sits in the same place on the web and in the desktop app. The mobile app keeps it elsewhere. Tap your profile at the top left of the note list to open your profile page, then pick English, Japanese, or Korean from the [App Language] dropdown under [Permissions]. A language you pick in the mobile app applies to that device only, so change the language for the web and the desktop app separately. The [Language] section changes only the language of the app’s menus and buttons. The language of the conversation you record and the language your transcript is written in are set separately, as the [Listen In] and [Write In] languages on the screen where you start recording. See live recording for the 15 supported languages and how to pick them.
Delete your account
Delete from settings under [Profile] → [Advanced] → [Delete Account]. Enter your own email to confirm, and deletion proceeds.- Deletion can’t be undone. Export any notes you need or move them elsewhere first.
- Notes you created that are shared to a team folder stay in the workspace; only the author label changes to anonymous.
- Your account and personal data are removed beyond recovery (within 30 days at most).
Frequently asked questions
Can I create more than one account with the same email?
No. Each email maps to a single Tiro account. If you want separate spaces, create a new workspace inside the same account.I signed up with my work email. Do I lose the account if I leave the company?
Your account is tied to your email, so losing access to that email can lock you out of login. If a job change makes the email hard to reach, let us know through support or at hello@theplato.io and we’ll help with account merging. What happens to my notes that teammates can see if I delete my account?
Notes you shared to a team folder stay in that workspace. Only the author label changes to anonymous, and other people can still read the content.Related pages: Account FAQ · Use Tiro on multiple devices · Workspaces
