Plans at a glance

Individuals choose from Lite, Pro, and Max. Teams and organizations get the per-seat Team plan and Enterprise. Annual billing includes two months free. New accounts receive 100 minutes right away and can complete onboarding tasks within 3 weeks to increase the free trial allowance to 300 minutes. Compare price, usage, and who each plan fits below. Usage is granted monthly and resets at the end of each month. Any usage left at reset doesn’t carry over to the next month; your plan’s allowance is refilled fresh every month. Annual billing works the same way: you don’t get a year’s usage up front, it renews monthly. Paid plans let you record up to 5 hours per note.

Check remaining usage and the next reset time

On the web or desktop app, open your profile at the top left and go to [Settings][Manage Subscription]. The plan and usage cards show your remaining usage, the next usage reset time, and your subscription expiration or next billing date. On the mobile app, open [Settings][Manage Subscription] to see workspace usage and subscription dates. If you want to know when your monthly time refreshes, check the next reset time on this screen first. If you need more detail, such as usage trends over time or usage by member, press [View Details] on the usage card. See “Review detailed usage” below for how it works.

What each plan includes

Throughout the guide, features marked with a Pro+, Team+, or Enterprise badge are available starting from that plan. A Team+ badge means the feature shines in a shared workspace.

Individual plans (Lite, Pro, Max)

These plans run on a single-person workspace.
  • Lite ($7/mo): 300 min/mo of usage, no 60-minute-per-note limit, high-quality one-page document, unlimited AI chat grounded in your note records, and summaries from your own templates
  • Pro ($13/mo): 1,000 min/mo of usage, everything in Lite, plus speaker diarization
  • Max ($29/mo): unlimited usage so daily use is never a worry, everything in Pro
The former Starter and Business plans are now named Pro and Max. The features and pricing are unchanged.

Team plan

The Team plan is for workspaces with 2 or more people. To create notes in a shared workspace, switch to the Team plan. Pricing scales with the number of seats, and a seat counts anyone with Admin or Member permissions (Viewers and Unpaid admins aren’t billed).
  • Monthly: $29 per seat
  • Annual: $290 per seat (about $24.17/mo)
What the Team plan includes:
  • Everything in the individual Max plan (unlimited usage)
  • Workspace-level billing: one admin manages the entire subscription, and a single company card settles it all
  • Team folders: set the folder permissions once and the notes inside are shared automatically among the people with access
  • Workspace dictionary: register company acronyms, product names, and people’s names so recognition accuracy improves across everyone’s records
  • Workspace templates: standardize meeting and interview formats so notes build up with the same structure no matter who writes them
  • Per-account usage dashboard and people management

Who counts toward billed seats?

Seats are billed by the number of admins and members, because creating and recording notes takes up a billed seat. Unpaid admins and viewers don’t take up a seat, so they aren’t billed. Everyone in a workspace holds one of four roles (Admin, Unpaid admin, Member, Viewer). For each role’s permissions and how they’re billed, see Workspace roles.

How many people can use the Team plan?

The paid Team plan has no member cap. Invite as many people as you need; billed seats are added automatically for each Admin and Member. You do not buy a fixed number of seats in advance. The 20-member limit applies only to workspaces on the free trial. It is removed when the workspace moves to the Team plan.

Getting started with the Team plan

On the Team plan, one admin pays for a single subscription per workspace and fills it by inviting people in. People don’t each pay on their own and then link up. Seats aren’t something an admin buys up front either; you’re billed automatically for the number of Admins and Members in the workspace.
It’s normal if the first checkout screen doesn’t ask you to choose a seat quantity. The Team plan doesn’t work by buying 3 seats up front. Billing follows the number of people who actually hold a paid role (Admin or Member) in the workspace.
How you start depends on the workspace’s current state.
1

No paid subscription yet, or on a free trial

Invite people first, then switch to the Team plan. At the moment you switch, you’re charged in one go for the Admin and Member seats in the workspace.
2

Already paying for an individual plan (Pro or Max)

On an individual plan, inviting people is blocked. Switch to the Team plan first, then invite people. Each time someone accepts, a seat is added immediately and the remaining-period charge is prorated into the invoice for your next billing date.
Both paths share the following:
  • Existing notes and folders stay in the workspace as is. Nothing is moved or deleted automatically.
  • Team plan billing happens on the web and desktop app. Mobile in-app purchases support only individual plans on a single-person workspace.
  • If a workspace has 2 or more people but no Team plan, creating new notes and starting recordings is restricted, and you’re directed to the subscription screen.

Enterprise plan

A custom plan for organizations with many people and complex security and operations environments.
  • Everything in the Team plan
  • Extra security options that match your company’s internal policies (for SSO, audit logs, and data retention policy, see Organization security settings; for sharing link policy, see Share link security)
  • A dedicated API and webhooks for internal system integration, plus support for a shared login domain
  • Custom onboarding sessions and a hotline
For a complete view of what Enterprise can do, see Enterprise plan. To discuss adoption, reach out through the contact form or partners@theplato.io.

Annual billing benefit

Pay annually and you get two months free. You pay for 10 months and use 12.
  • Lite $70/yr · Pro $130/yr · Max $290/yr · Team $290/yr per seat
Annual billing is available on the web or desktop app.

How to pay

1

On the web or desktop app (recommended)

Open your profile at the top left, go to [Settings][Manage Subscription], choose the plan and billing cycle you want, and get started. Payments are handled securely through Stripe. Business users can check “Purchasing for business purposes” on the payment screen and enter a business registration number to be exempt from the 10% VAT.
2

Mobile in-app purchase

You can also pay through the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android), but platform fees make it more expensive than web or desktop. To pay less, use web or desktop. In-app purchase is available when you have a single personal workspace.
When a free trial ends, it doesn’t convert to a paid plan automatically, so start your subscription yourself whenever you’re ready.

Keep recording past your limit with additional recording

When your plan’s included time runs out, turn on Additional recording to keep recording meetings without interruption. Time beyond your monthly included minutes is billed at $0.025 per minute. The [Additional recording] toggle appears only on the Lite and Pro plans, which have a fixed monthly allowance. The Max and Team plans have unlimited usage, so there’s never any overage and the toggle doesn’t appear at all. For a workspace that turned it on before, the toggle stays visible so you can turn it off yourself, and it disappears once you do. A workspace admin opens [Settings][Manage Subscription] in the web or desktop app, then turns on [Additional recording] under “Recording policy.” Once it’s on, recording continues automatically after the included time runs out, and only the extra minutes are billed.
This toggle used to be under [Settings][Workspace]. It is now in the “Recording policy” section of [Manage Subscription]. The mobile app does not have this setting, so use the web or desktop app.
Turning on additional recording requires the following:
  • Stripe billing: only workspaces that pay through Stripe on web or desktop can turn it on. If you subscribe through App Store or Google Play in-app purchase, the [Additional recording] toggle doesn’t appear.
  • Admin permission: the [Additional recording] toggle is visible only to admins (and unpaid admins), and only they can turn it on or off. It doesn’t appear for members or viewers.
  • A payment method on file: without a payment method, the toggle is disabled and shows “Add a payment method before turning on additional recording.” Add a payment method, then turn it on again.
Plans with unlimited usage, such as Max and Team, never exceed monthly included time, so they incur no additional recording charges. That’s why the [Additional recording] toggle doesn’t appear on these two plans (a workspace that turned it on before still sees it so it can be turned off). Overage applies on the Lite and Pro plans, which have a fixed monthly allowance, when you go past the limit.

What does the additional recording banner in the sidebar mean?

When additional recording is on, a banner in the web and desktop app sidebar shows its current state. At 80% of the monthly allowance, it warns that recording will continue and overage will be billed. After the allowance is exceeded, it shows the overage minutes and rate and stays visible. Press the banner to open [Manage Subscription] and review remaining usage or change the setting. It appears to Admins, Unpaid admins, and people paying for an individual plan, but not on Enterprise plans.

Review detailed usage

Use [Usage Details] to see how much a workspace recorded over a period. On the web or desktop app, open your profile at the top left, go to [Settings][Manage Subscription], and press [View Details] on the usage card. Date-range usage charts, per-member usage, and CSV export are all on this screen.
The [View Details] button appears only for workspace Admins and Unpaid admins. Members and Viewers don’t see it. This screen isn’t available in the mobile app.
This screen isn’t only for the Team plan. If you’re using Lite, Pro, or Max in a single-person workspace and you’re the Admin, you can open the same screen.

Choose a period and grouping

Press the date button at the top left of the screen, then choose [Start date] and [End date] in the calendar. The default range is the last 7 days. You can’t choose a start date before the workspace was created, and if the start date is later than the end date, you’ll see “Start date must be before end date.” Use the [Daily], [Weekly], and [Monthly] tabs next to the dates to change the grouping. For the same date range, Daily groups by day, Weekly by week, and Monthly by month.
The [Daily] tab can query up to 1 year (365 days) at once. To review a longer range on one screen, switch to [Weekly] or [Monthly].

Read the usage chart and data table

The [Usage] chart shows recording time in minutes for the selected period. Hover over the chart, or press a bar, to see that segment’s date range and recording minutes above the chart. If you want the raw numbers, press [Show data table] at the top right of the chart. A table with [Period] and [Recording Minutes] columns opens below the chart. Press [Hide data table] to collapse it again.

Check usage by member

The [Usage by people] table shows how much each member used during the selected period. It has three columns: [Name], [Note Count], and [Recording Minutes]. Recording time is shown in minutes. Press a column header to sort by that value. The table includes everyone currently in the workspace. People with no records in the selected period appear as 0. People who left or were removed from the workspace don’t appear, even if they recorded during that period.

View cumulative usage

Turn on [Cumulative] to change the chart from bars to a line chart, with each point adding the previous segments to the current value. This is useful when you want to see how usage builds up over the selected period. Numbers in the expanded data table also switch to cumulative values. Turn the toggle off to return to per-period usage.

Export usage as CSV

Press [Export] at the top right of the screen to download a CSV using the current period and grouping. On the web, choose from three menu items. All three files include Recording Minutes, Credits Used, Overage Minutes, and Note Count columns. Files that include members also include Name and Email columns. Column headers are written in English. Files are UTF-8, so Korean text stays readable in Excel and Google Sheets. File names include the export type, date range, and timezone, so repeated downloads are easy to tell apart. If [Cumulative] is on when you export, you get a CSV summed across the whole selected period. A [Cumulative] label appears next to [Export], and [Member totals] is unavailable because it is already a whole-period total. Turn [Cumulative] off before exporting if you need a file split by period.
In the desktop app, [Export] has two menu items: [Member totals] and [Overall]. Use the web app for the [By member] file. In the desktop app, [Cumulative] affects only the chart; exported CSV files are always split by period.

How is workspace usage different from organization usage?

[Usage details] shows usage for one workspace only. Use this screen to see who used how much inside a single workspace. If you run an Enterprise organization with several workspaces, compare organization-wide usage and per-workspace usage from the [Usage] tab in [Settings][Organization Settings][Organization]. Organization-level reports are covered in the Organization admin guide.

Frequently asked questions

Can I turn on additional recording (overage) on an individual plan?

Yes, on the plans that show the toggle. The [Additional recording] toggle appears only on the Lite and Pro plans, which have a fixed monthly allowance. The Max plan has unlimited usage, so there’s no overage and the toggle doesn’t appear. On Lite or Pro, you can turn it on under “Recording policy” in [Settings][Workspace] as long as you pay through Stripe and you’re an admin. You can’t turn it on if you subscribe through App Store or Google Play in-app purchase. Time over your limit is billed at $0.025 per minute.

What happens to billing when a teammate joins or leaves mid-cycle?

When the number of paid roles (Admins and Members) increases, a seat is added immediately. The charge from the day the seat is added through the end of the current billing period is prorated into the invoice for your next billing date. When the number of paid roles decreases, the existing seat count and charge stay in place for the current billing period, and the lower seat count takes effect at the next renewal. Reducing seats mid-cycle doesn’t refund the current period’s charge.

Do I need to pay for 3 seats up front when I start the Team plan?

No. You don’t need to choose a seat quantity on the first Team plan checkout screen. Tiro calculates seats from the number of Admins and Members in the workspace, then prorates the remaining-period charge when someone accepts an invitation or changes into a paid role. Viewers and unpaid admins don’t take up seats.

How is the Team plan different from the Enterprise plan?

The Team plan is a self-service plan you subscribe to right away with a payment card. Enterprise is a consultation-based plan for organizations that need SSO, security policies, and custom integrations. To discuss adoption, reach out to partners@theplato.io.

What changes when I switch from Max to Team?

Very little changes while you use it alone. Existing notes and folders remain, and unlimited monthly usage and the five-hour per-note limit stay the same. The main change is that member invitations become available. Individual plans, including Max, are for one-person workspaces. The price increases as you invite paid members. One seat costs $29 per month, and each additional Admin or Member adds a seat with a prorated charge for the remaining billing period.

Does generating multiple AI summaries use more minutes?

No. Minutes are deducted only for recorded or uploaded audio time. Creating or regenerating summaries, using note-based AI chat, and applying document templates do not reduce your allowance.

Does unused time carry over to the next month?

No, unused usage doesn’t carry over. Your plan’s monthly allowance (for example, 1,000 minutes on Pro) is refilled each month based on your subscription start date, so time left over from the previous month isn’t added. This is the same on annual billing. You can check the next reset time under [Settings][Manage Subscription].

Can I see how much each member used?

Yes. On the web or desktop app, open [Settings][Manage Subscription] and press [View Details] on the usage card. The [Usage by people] table shows each member’s note count and recording time in minutes. You can choose the date range and Daily, Weekly, or Monthly grouping yourself, and you can download the numbers as CSV with [Export]. The [View Details] button appears only for workspace Admins and Unpaid admins.

Is detailed usage only available on the Team plan?

No. It also works on individual plans. If you’re using Lite, Pro, or Max in a single-person workspace, open [Settings][Manage Subscription] on the web or desktop app and press [View Details] on the usage card. The button appears only for Admins and Unpaid admins, and this screen isn’t available in the mobile app.

When does a plan change take effect?

Upgrades apply immediately, and the difference is billed on a prorated basis. For details on how to change or cancel a plan, see Subscription management.
