About the Tiro free trial
The first time you sign up for Tiro, a workspace is created automatically and you receive 100 free minutes right away. Complete these onboarding tasks within 3 weeks to earn 50 minutes per task and increase your free allowance to 300 minutes:- Create your first note: 50 minutes
- Connect your calendar: 50 minutes
- Install the desktop app: 50 minutes
- Install the mobile app: 50 minutes
When does the free trial end?
The free trial ends at whichever of these happens first:- Three weeks pass after sign-up: You can no longer use remaining minutes.
- You purchase a paid plan: The trial ends immediately and the paid plan starts.
Trial minutes remaining when you purchase a plan are converted to credit. You use that credit after your new plan’s monthly allowance. See Credits for details.
When your free trial credit runs out
Once your currently available free minutes are gone, you can’t create new notes. If your minutes run out mid-recording, the recording pauses, and an audio file upload may produce only a partial transcript. If you still have onboarding tasks left and are within the 3-week window, complete them to earn more minutes. If you have completed every task or the trial period has ended, subscribe to keep recording. See Tiro plans and Managing your subscription. You can still view your past recordings even after your free trial credit runs out. After your trial ends, you can still view, edit, and share your existing notes. We know the notes that capture your conversations are valuable assets. Only creating new notes is blocked. Everything else stays available.Note viewing and recording limits
During the free trial, viewing is capped at 50 minutes per note, and you can record up to 120 minutes.- Past 50 minutes: the note keeps recording, but its content is temporarily blurred and viewing is restricted. Your note is still being recorded normally. After you upgrade your plan, you’ll see the full text in its entirety. This isn’t an error, so there’s nothing to worry about.
- Past 120 minutes: recording stops automatically, and anything after that point can’t be recovered, even if you upgrade your plan later. To record a longer meeting, upgrade your plan and start a new note.
Inviting people to a workspace on the free trial
When you invite people to a workspace that’s on the free trial, you and everyone you invite get 300 minutes per person of free trial. The trial period stays tied to when the workspace was created and applies to everyone the same way. A workspace on the free trial can have up to 20 members. This limit applies only during the free trial. The Team plan removes this cap and bills for the Admin and Member seats you invite. See Tiro plans for seat details.Frequently asked questions
If I create a new workspace, do I get another 300 free trial minutes?
No. The free trial is granted once per account. Creating additional workspaces after sign-up does not grant free trial usage again.Does everyone get their own 300 minutes?
