With your own templates, you can summarize and shape recorded notes using templates you build yourself. To learn about Tiro's built-in templates, seethe Write with Tiro guide.
Settings > Template management or on the note detail screen, Create custom document > View all templates: here you can create your own template.
Heads up
Creating or editing your own templates is available only on the desktop web and app. For details on what each platform supports, see the Feature support by platform guide.
Your own templates let you build a note exactly the way you want. Instead of a fixed template, you can split it into the sections you choose and tell Tiro how to summarize and organize each one.
When you build your own template, you can divide the content into sections.
Arrange them freely to suit different purposes, such as meeting minutes, interviews, or journals.
If you want a section to have a title in the finished document, enter one. The title you enter appears as is in the final document.
For example, you can give clear names like "Meeting outcomes," "Interview questions," or "To-dos."
In your own template, you can set one of four types for each section based on its purpose, and add instructions to match.
Q&A:
Paste in your prepared questions, and Tiro finds and organizes the answers from the conversation. It's great for situations with set questions, like job or sales interviews.
Action items:
It lays out the tasks and action items from a meeting as bullet points, clearly showing who does what by when. After the meeting, you can see your to-dos at a glance.
Example document: If you want to reuse a document format you often use, paste in an example document. Tiro picks up its markdown, tone, and structure, and builds the document in the same shape.
Heads up
Paste the document's actual text, not a URL, to create your template.
Plain text:
A flexible type with no fixed format. Beyond the three types above, it organizes whatever you need as well as possible, for general notes, key takeaways, opinions, idea collections, and more.
Ways to use it
Build the meeting format or report structure you use often and reuse it.
Find what you need quickly and put it to use right away.
Write and manage notes your own way across many kinds of conversations.
In Settings > Template management, you can search, delete, and copy templates. On the Team plan, you can manage your own (personal) templates and team templates separately.
What else can I do on the Team plan?
You get team templates, a team word list, a member usage dashboard, and more. To learn about the collaboration features available only on the Team plan, seethe Team management guide.
